The Iowa Water Festival, the state’s premier clean water advocacy event, is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 23 at the Izaak Walton League in Des Moines, with WaterJam 2019 to follow until 8:30 p.m. The musical event will feature local musicians TBA. 

This FREE event will unite educators, scientists and other speakers to bring awareness of Iowa’s water quality issues and show Iowans how they can promote waterway health, restore Iowa’s land fertility using climate-smart agriculture practices, and encourage elected officials and decision-makers to commit to action that will lead to long-term changes to clean Iowa’s waters.

The Iowa Water Festival will feature:

~ A diverse line-up of water quality speakers
~ Fun, interactive activities for kids and adults
~ Related art, music and dance performances
~ Exhibitors from conservation, agriculture, education, non-profit organizations and green businesses

~ Craft beer from the Iowa Brewers Union
~ Water-testing, origami and Japanese fish painting activities
